IV extended meeting of NDIA Board and members

December 13, 2017 The IVth Board of Directors and members of the National Defense Industry Association took place already. Representatives of NDIA members have been visiting the Center for Physical and Technological Sciences (CPTS) in Vilnius.          NDIA President Julius Niedvaras congratulated the participants and was pleased with the successful activities of the Association for the Third Year. In his speech, the NDIA president also emphasized the need to continue to look for ways to change many skeptical views on the Lithuanian defense industry.
Director of the CPTS Gintaras Valušis presented the activities of the research center, the main purpose of which is to combine science with business, as well as to create an international “valine without silicon” – a photonic valley!
CPTS representatives organized a very interesting excursion to the participants of the meeting in the world of science.
Representatives of the NDIA members on the activities and opportunities for cooperation of the Vilnius Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts have been told by the Chief Executive Officer of the Chamber dr. Almantas Danilevičius. The Chamber is a network of entrepreneurs, a defined territory (Vilnius and Alytus counties) whose main goal is business promotion, business development and export, representation of business interests. During the meeting, the member of the Colonel Association spoke on “state-organized” threats to Lithuanian industry and business. plk Gediminas Grina.
During the whole meeting there was an active discussion on the issues relevant to the activities of the Association and its members.
